Marcel Hiller's process-oriented, dynamic practice deals analytically with the conceptuality and nature of space and its collective access. Due to its variable arrangement, the installation Das Ende der Freitage widriger Langen is in a constant state of dislocation and transformation. The flattened frames of 12 folding tables from GDR production serve as a material structural element. With this arrangement, Hiller responds to the constantly changing, unpredictable concept of the group exhibition and generates its own fluid space that changes and unfolds over the course of the three openings. In an accompanying text under glass, Marcel Hiller reflects on questions of economy, source and production, competition, process and value. (Klara Hülskamp)
